Today was another good day at the note factory. Students were overall very focused and progress was made in every class – definitely very promising for this Saturday’s performance by the symphonic band at the National Adjudicator’s Invitational and for all of the remaining 10 band events and concerts left in the school year. The day started with the usual Tuesday morning symphonic band rehearsal. Mr. Corbett, the current student teacher, taught the sixth grade classes while I worked with the trumpets in pairs in preparation for the upcoming placement auditions, and he and I split the 7th grade band class duties. This afternoon went well and much improvement was made in the concert band class on their concert march, Badge of Honor, and the symphonic band on both the Holst and The Washington Post.
And now to the practice lists:

Symphonic Band

We played “land of liberty” real well at the concert. All of that hard work, time, and practice really paid off!
